Who we are
HomeQuoteWise ("we") is the data controller for personal data collected on this site. Contact: hello@homequotewise.co.uk.
What we collect
- Quote requests: the quote form on our tool and trade pages is MyJobQuote's own form, shown in a frame on our page. Your name, email, phone number, postcode and job details go directly to MyJobQuote (myjobquote.co.uk). We do not receive or store them. MyJobQuote is responsible for that data under its own privacy policy, which explains its lawful basis and who it shares your details with.
- Measurements: the measuring tools work in your browser. We do not store the measurements. Maps and address search are provided by third-party map services (such as Mapbox), which receive the area you look up.
- When you browse: basic technical data (pages viewed, device type). Analytics cookies are only used if you agree to them.
- When you email us: your email address and what you write, so we can reply.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use browsing data to run and improve the site (legitimate interests) and analytics data only with your agreement (consent). We use emails you send us to reply to you (legitimate interests).
Who we share it with
We use service providers who host this website and provide maps, under contract. We never sell your data. We may be paid by MyJobQuote for quote requests made through its form on our site, but we do not pass your personal details to it ourselves.
How long we keep it
We keep emails for up to 12 months after our last reply, then delete them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete data we hold about you, or object to its use, by emailing hello@homequotewise.co.uk. For details you entered in a quote form, please contact MyJobQuote, as set out in its privacy policy.
Complaints
If you are unhappy, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.
